Piege a flics

(1985) Piege a Flics (Trapped by Cops) was a film production financed by Swiss television. It became part of a Film Noir Series that was shown on TF1.

The story takes place in the small village of Burtonden, England. Inspector Betts, known as Frenchy, is notified that a holdup has occurred at a post office/store, where a rather large sum of money had been taken. Two women have been fatally wounded. At first Betts believes it is most likely a robbery by some little scroundel doing his first solo holdup. However, during the investigation, he changes his attitude and seeks to discover the hooligans responsible for murdering the two women.
